A male sentenced to 12 and half years in prison for killing baby: 

An Edmonton man has been condemned to 12½ years in jail for what a judge defined as his baby son’s “cruel killing.”

Christopher Lamarche, who was seen blameworthy of killing earlier this month in the May 2017 demise of six-month-old Jarock Humeniuk, will include four years removed from his sentence for time already served.

“This trial involved the cruel killing of a baby,” Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Sterling Sanderman stated Thursday. Source – cbc.ca

Jarock died May 28, 2017, of a sharp force concussion.

The baby had been placed in Lamarche’s respect for the weekend. Lamarche, then 23, was staying at his parents’ residence in north Edmonton.

On the second night of the visiting, Jarock wouldn’t control crying, Lamarche admitted to “Mr. Big” two years later, during a secret Edmonton police operation. Lamarche stated he snapped.

“He choked his six-month-old son with a sheet so it wouldn’t leave marks,” Crown prosecutor Bonnie Parker stated Thursday in her sentencing submission. Source – cbc.ca
