A wildfire has forced evacuations in a place near Crimson Lake, approximately 15 kilometers north of Rocky Mountain House.
Alberta Wildfire said the fire is deemed out of control in a tweet. As of 10 p.m. Friday, the wildfire has increased to 14.8 hectares in size.
Almost 20 firefighters, air tankers, and three choppers are working on the fire, nearly three hectares in size, west of the North Saskatchewan River.

On Friday afternoon, RCMP stated that Buster Creek Road and Highway 756 were shut at Crimson Lake campground due to a grass blaze. Township Road 402A is also closed.
An update from Alberta Emergency Alert published Friday evening says RCMP patrol will stay overnight, and the evacuation order stays in place. If needed, people with respiratory problems should seek medical attention and leave the place if possible.
Alberta Wildfire has given an evacuation order north of the Ferrier gas plant on Buster Creek Road. According to an emergency warning issued Friday, it’s advised that evacuees check in at the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre. 5332 50 Street, Rocky Mountain House.
