The Edmonton Oilers have looked like a squad with a new lease on life since making a coaching difference the previous week and allowing Dave Tippett to go.
Leon Draisaitl had a couple of goals as the Oilers stayed an ideal 4-0 under new head coach Jay Woodcroft, coming from behind to beat the Anaheim Ducks 7-3 on Thursday to pose third in the Pacific Division.
Woodcroft drove the Oilers’ AHL squad in Bakersfield before pushing to Edmonton.
Evander Kane, Derek Ryan, Jesse Puljujarvi, Warren Foegele, and Zach Hyman also netted for the Oilers (27-18-3), who have gone 9-1-2 in their prior 12 outings.

Veteran Derek Ryan, who had a two-point night too, stated that it feels like the Oilers are playing as a whole squad than earlier.
“I feel like we suppose that everyone is getting an opportunity and an option to provide help,” he stated. “We can’t count on Leon and Connor to do everything.
