Kailer Yamamoto aids in securing a victory for Edmonton contra the Blues:
Kailer Yamamoto scored in the dying minutes as the Edmonton Oilers defeat the St. Louis Blues 5-4 Sunday night in St. Louis.
Connor McDavid, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Leon Draisaitl and Ryan McLeod scored for Edmonton too, which won in St, Louis for the first time since Dec 5, 2018.
Mikko Koskinen made 35 blocks as the Oilers upgraded to 11-3-0 on the season.
“He was excellent,” Oilers manager Dave Tippett said of Koskinen. “We didn’t defend very deftly in front of him, and they throw a lot of pucks around that net, so he had to create several big saves for us.” Source – cbc.ca
Vladimir Tarasenko, Ivan Barbashev, Jordan Kyrou and Robert Bortuzzo netted for the blues. Jordan Binningto n had 27 blocks, but St. Louis lost its third streak match.

Yamamoto’s third goal of the season came on a suckle from Draisaitl with just 28 seconds remaining to place Edmonton up 5-4 in what had been a back and forth match.
